Serving this website

When this WordPress website is accessed, the hosting infrastructure processes technical connection data such as IP address, time and requested address. Website and email-provider services are used for operation, security and sending enquiries.

Cookie preference

This website does not embed analytics or marketing services. After your selection, the notice remembers your choice in local browser storage as “pegahaus.consent.v1”, with an expiry of up to 180 days. Session storage and, where permitted, the “pegahaus_cookie_choice” cookie are also used. Only the “necessary-v1” choice and, where applicable, its expiry are stored, with no identifying or tracking data. You can reopen cookie settings using the footer link or clear this website’s data in your browser.

Availability calendar

Our server reads occupancy periods from Airbnb. The browser receives only blocked dates and the retrieval time. We recheck your travel dates before sending your enquiry. No Airbnb widget is embedded. An enquiry does not reserve dates or write data back to Airbnb.

Email enquiries

Submitting the form sends your name, email address, travel dates, guest count, language and optional message to our WordPress server. It emails the enquiry to info@pegahaus.de and an acknowledgement to the email address you provide. We use these details to handle your enquiry and any subsequent booking. The theme does not create a booking or store the message as a booking record. To prevent duplicate messages, a reference, delivery status and a hashed fingerprint of the enquiry are retained for up to 24 hours. Salted hashes derived from IP and email addresses, together with counters, are kept for up to one hour to prevent abuse. Email correspondence remains in the relevant mailboxes for the retention purposes described below.

Purposes and retention

Stay enquiries are processed for pre-contractual steps under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Technical operation and security serve our legitimate interest in a reliable website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Enquiry correspondence is retained only as long as needed for processing or to meet legal obligations.

Your rights

Subject to legal conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Please contact us at the email address above.
